Background / History

Before meeting Ye Yan, Bibi Dong hunted and killed Ah Rou, Xiao Wu’s hundred-thousand-year rabbit mother. Xiao Wu subsequently entered the human world intending to grow stronger and avenge her. This feud becomes central to Ye Yan’s first soul-ring bargain and later threatens his allegiance to Bibi Dong 3 24.

Bibi Dong previously loved Yu Xiaogang and retained enough regard for his work to give Ye Yan Ten Core Competencies of Martial Soul. Her attachment collapses after she reads Ye Yan’s account of Xiaogang’s life, which portrays her as a pawn in his ambitions. She asks where Xiaogang is so she can kill him; no confrontation between them is shown in the supplied chapters 24 27 28.

Although she holds the papal office, the Worship Hall initially refuses her commands under Qian Daoliu’s leadership. She regards this arrangement as keeping her in charge only until Qian Renxue can take over. Her restored cultivation and divine weapon allow her to overturn that balance of power 29.

Once the council submits, she openly declares her intention to unite the world 23 29.

With Ye Yan, she alternates between affection, pride, and harsh discipline. She offers him a home in the Papal Hall, praises his talent, and heals injuries she has caused, but also insists that he respect her authority and study theoretical knowledge 23 24 26.

Her attachment is intensely possessive. She objects to his attention toward other women, monitors his reactions for dishonesty, and responds violently when she discovers his connection to Qian Renxue. She also appoints Ling Yuan to watch him after he leaves 30 36 37.
