Gu Yanzhi repeatedly transmigrated, eventually taking over Kurourushi’s body and becoming bound to Mishima Yuto inside a Culling Game barrier. After training Mishima and fighting through cursed spirits, Gu Yanzhi faced Dhruv Lakdawalla’s Shikigami until Yuta Okkotsu arrived.

• Gu Yanzhi died during the Shibuya Incident, chose the transfigured human physique as his inheritance, and later defied Mahito’s control to attack him during the fight with Yuji Itadori and Kento Nanami.
• After Satoru Gojo arrived, Gu Yanzhi urged Itadori to keep fighting cursed spirits, then chose a new transmigration and awakened inside Kurourushi’s body.
• Gu Yanzhi killed the men pursuing Mishima Yuto, but Kurourushi’s hunger drove him to attack and consume people until he tried to kill himself and collect his rewards.
• Kurourushi’s body survived and attached itself to Mishima, and Gu Yanzhi explained the Culling Game to him and taught him to control cursed energy.
• Mishima refused to abandon Gu Yanzhi and began fighting cursed spirits as they made their way toward Yuta Okkotsu at Sendai Stadium.
• Mishima reunited with Yamada beneath a bridge, but Gu Yanzhi took control when a pterosaur Shikigami appeared and prepared to attack.
• Gu Yanzhi killed one of Dhruv Lakdawalla’s pterosaur Shikigami, fought off the encirclement with Kurourushi’s transformed body, and saw Yuta Okkotsu destroy a giant rodent Shikigami and call out to Rika.

Gu Yanzhi fought his way through the Culling Game and later joined the battle against Sukuna, using his life to help the others before the System sent him into Mai’s body. He then fought the Zenin Clan to escape with Maki, and revealed a second Cursed Technique when their pursuit blocked the way.

• Okkotsu helped Gu Yanzhi and Mishima, but Uro attacked them, and Mishima overcame his guilt to help Gu Yanzhi fight her before Kurourushi emerged from Gu Yanzhi’s body and Okkotsu intervened.
• The System rewarded Gu Yanzhi with the cursed energy reserves inherited from Kurourushi, and he transmigrated into a Culling Game player before avoiding Kashimo and fighting Charles and Kashimo himself.
• Gu Yanzhi joined Jujutsu High’s effort against Sukuna and Kenjaku, killed Kenjaku after Takaba distracted him, and arrived with cursed tools to support the assault on Sukuna.
• Gu Yanzhi and Okkotsu disrupted Sukuna’s attacks while Itadori struck him, and Gu Yanzhi restrained Sukuna during Malevolent Shrine long enough to summon the Executioner’s Sword.
• Sukuna’s attacks reduced Gu Yanzhi to blood and flesh, but the System gave him another slot, and he transmigrated into Mai’s body in the Zenin Clan.
• Gu Yanzhi defeated Naoya, then helped the injured Maki and Mai escape the Zenin Clan while taking cursed tools from the clan vault.
• The Hei and Zenin fighters cornered Gu Yanzhi and Maki, but Gu Yanzhi controlled metallic liquid to stop Jinichi’s attack and revealed he had a second Cursed Technique.
