"Domain Expansion-Deadly Sentencing."
As Hiromi Higuruma's voice fell, the phantom image of a courtroom appeared behind him, everything needed for a trial rapidly taking shape in the dim light. Chains of rules reached out of the void, rushing straight toward Kashimo.
"Thunder-Mourning Turbid Heaven."
Kashimo spoke almost simultaneously. A dark purple sky spread overhead, thunder churning within its clouds as a magnetic field expanded outward from him in every direction. When Higuruma's chains of rules touched the boundary of Kashimo's domain, they shattered inch by inch as though they had struck an invisible wall.
Hiromi Higuruma's domain was highly unusual. Its sure-hit effect was a rule-based courtroom trial. Simple Domain could not neutralize that effect; only another domain could counter it.
And now, the overwhelming advantage of an open domain over a closed domain became apparent.
Rather than applying Mythical Beast Amber's transformative ability to himself, Kashimo had applied it to the area within his domain. This gave his domain the properties of a magnetic field, allowing it to interfere with his opponent's electrical signals and bioelectricity, preventing any movement whatsoever.
At the same time, after he modified his domain to produce a magnetic field, the electric charges within it also gained automatic tracking. In other words, once Kashimo expanded his domain, its electric charges would automatically seek out targets and detonate against every living creature inside. Kashimo could also manually adjust where those detonations occurred.
At that moment, he placed the electric charge detonations on the outer shell of Hiromi Higuruma's domain.
Bang.
A dull report rang out. A crack exploded across the outer shell of Hiromi Higuruma's domain, fine fractures spreading in every direction from the breach like glass struck by a stone.
Then the domain shattered. Its fragments dissolved into pinpricks of starlight in the air, fading
