As Yuki Tsukumo threw her first punch, Kenjaku realized something was wrong. He had clearly applied gravity to her the instant her fist came down, yet its trajectory was barely affected. Its speed, force, and even angle had not shifted in the slightest.
Kenjaku raised a hand to block. A dull boom erupted as fist met palm, rattling his bones with pain and briefly numbing his entire forearm.
"You've figured out my technique, haven't you?" Yuki Tsukumo pulled back her fist and grinned. "It's mass."
Before she finished speaking, she charged again, launching a high roundhouse kick. Her leg cut through the air with crushing force, sweeping past Kenjaku's temple with barely an inch to spare.
Kenjaku retreated swiftly and swept his arm out. Hanami and Jogo appeared in the middle of the battlefield at the same time. The two cursed spirits flanked her from either side, while Hanami's branches burst from the ground and grew wildly, surging toward Yuki Tsukumo like a swarm of vicious vine serpents.
Yuki Tsukumo caught the thickest branch with her bare hand, tightened her fingers, and snapped it clean off. Without breaking stride, she charged through the shattered wood straight at Kenjaku.
