Satoru Gojo stared at the unfamiliar yet familiar Kashimo before him. The face was the same-cyan hair, purple markings, pale blue eyes-but the cursed energy pouring out of him was so violent it seemed ready to overturn the entire street.
This wasn't the Kashimo he knew. That Kashimo never held back in a fight, but he would never attack his companions.
"Stop standing there! Hurry up and knock some sense into him!"
Yuki Tsukumo's voice came from behind him. She had already gotten back to her feet, most of her injuries healed by Reverse Cursed Technique. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth as Garuda slowly unfurled behind her. Its golden halo split into eight, hovering in midair like eight open eyes.
Satoru Gojo gritted his teeth. He raised a hand, pinched a corner of his bandages, and yanked. The white fabric tore in his hand, unraveling layer by layer to reveal the azure eyes beneath.
The three faced off. For a moment, the air froze, like a string stretched to its limit, ready to snap.
Miguel stood in the distance, the Black Rope hanging at his side. He glanced at Kashimo, then at Satoru Gojo and Yuki Tsukumo. His lips moved slightly, but no sound came out. He turned and vanished into the shadows of the ruins.
The battlefield had to be left to these three Special Grades.
