Master chef Sukuna

Although Sukuna couldn't claim his cooking was on par with a professional chef's, he could at least whip up a few simple home-style dishes.

No matter how bad they tasted, they would still beat Tsumiki Fushiguro's hellish cooking. At the very least, they would look a little better.

First, he had to heat some oil in a pan.

"Fuck, I forgot to buy cooking oil."

Sukuna stared at the scant little bottle of cooking oil and fell silent.

After a fierce internal struggle, he finally sliced a large chunk of fat off the pork belly.

First, he cut the fat into small pieces and put them in the pan to render. In less than half an hour, he had a small bowl of lard.

Looking at that little bowl of lard and the half bottle of cooking oil, Sukuna nodded in satisfaction.

He had no intention of eating bland, tasteless food. If he was going to eat, he wanted the best.

One look at the remaining pork cracklings brought a delicious dish to mind.

Pork crackling stuffed pancakes!

After rummaging through the kitchen without finding any flour, Sukuna turned his gaze toward the rice he had just bought.

First, he scooped about a kilogram of rice from the bag, then used his powerful grip to turn it straight into wheat flour.

He added water, kneaded it into dough, and set it aside to rise.

Then he scooped the remaining cracklings out of the pan into a small bowl.

He took out five eggs and two tomatoes. Naturally, he would start with the simplest home-style dish: stir-fried eggs and tomatoes!

All he had to do was score a cross into each tomato and pour boiling water over it, and the skin would peel off in one piece.

"I wonder if this would work on human skin. Too bad I'm not a Curse User. I'm a good man."

Sukuna muttered to himself in the kitchen, unconcerned about the two little brats outside overhearing him, since he had already shut the door.

He had even turned on the television for them. That was far more enticing than watching him bustle around the kitchen.

Even Megumi Fushiguro, who acted like a little adult, had trouble resisting the television.

He poured a suitable amount of cooking oil into the pan, cooked the eggs until they set, then quickly scooped them out and stir-fried the tomatoes until they released their juices.

Once the tomatoes were thoroughly cooked, he added the eggs back in, gave everything a couple of quick stirs, and dished it up.

Looking at the stir-fried eggs and tomatoes, which looked, smelled, and tasted perfect, Sukuna could only call them fantastic! Then he pinched a piece between two fingers and popped it into his mouth.

"Holy crap, how did I forget the salt?"

Tasting the bland eggs and tomatoes, Sukuna frowned and spat them into the trash.

He took out a bag of salt, sprinkled some over the dish, and gave it a stir.

After giving the utensils a quick wash, he sliced the pork belly, now stripped of its fat, into thin pieces and rinsed them.

He tossed them into the pan to stir-fry, then chopped the large green peppers he had washed earlier and added them as well.

This time, Sukuna didn't forget the salt.

The second dish, stir-fried pork with peppers, was ready too. Unfortunately, Sukuna disliked spicy food, so he had used large green bell peppers.

Naturally, the third and final dish would be a soup.

Sukuna washed the chopped ribs, found some spices commonly used in Japan, and tossed everything into the pressure cooker to cook under pressure.

He had no intention of spending hours simmering soup. Half an hour in the pressure cooker would do the job.

Next, he cooked a big pot of rice. By the time it was done, the rib soup in the pressure cooker should be ready too.

Then he covered each dish with an upturned large bowl so it wouldn't cool too quickly and lose its flavor.

Finally, Sukuna turned his attention to the risen wheat dough.

What had been a tiny lump of dough had now grown several times larger.

He kneaded the dough into a long strip and cut it into evenly sized portions.

Then he shaped each little portion into a round disc and added some pork cracklings and diced mushrooms.

He wrapped up the filling, shaped it into a thicker round pancake, and put it straight into the pan to fry on both sides.

He did the same with the remaining dough, and soon the kitchen was filled with the aromas of delicious food.

Except for the stir-fried eggs and tomatoes.

After spending a little longer in the kitchen, Sukuna heard the pressure cooker hissing as it released steam.

Then he simply lifted the lid off. Of course, only someone with exceptional skill and the nerve to match could do that.

He tossed in the mushrooms he had washed earlier.

Naturally, mushrooms going into a pressure cooker didn't need chopping. Otherwise, they would cook down until there was nothing left.

Soon, the rice was ready too.

Sukuna picked up the pot of rice and served it outside first, then carried out all the dishes he had prepared.

He had to admit that Tsumiki Fushiguro really was diligent. The moment the kitchen door opened, she came in to help carry the dishes.

He poured the finished rib soup from the pressure cooker into the largest bowl in the Fushiguro Family's kitchen.

Then he carried that out too.

The two little brats stood off to one side, waiting for him to sit down first.

"All right, all right. I'm the guest here. What are you two standing around for?"

Sukuna smiled and waved them over to sit with him.

Only after his invitation did they kneel on the cushions.

Sukuna sat casually cross-legged, then discreetly moved the plate of stir-fried eggs and tomatoes in front of the siblings.

Looking at the delicious-looking, fragrant food before her, Tsumiki Fushiguro didn't know where to start with her chopsticks.

Megumi Fushiguro, on the other hand, showed no hesitation, helping himself to whatever he wanted.

Seeing that his older sister still hadn't taken anything, he even picked up several chopstickfuls of pork with peppers and eggs with tomatoes for her.

When Tsumiki Fushiguro looked at him, he turned his head away with a show of indifference.

"Thank you for the meal!"

Only then did Tsumiki Fushiguro start eating the rice in her hands, and of course, she tried every dish before her too.

After all, she was still just a child, with a simple, innocent mind.

"Uncle, your cooking is so good! It's way better than mine."

As Tsumiki Fushiguro stuffed ribs into her mouth, she gave Sukuna an emphatic thumbs-up.

She couldn't remember how long it had been since she had eaten anything this good.

Sukuna merely smiled without saying anything. This was nowhere near as good as the food his family's chef made.

Watching the two children wolf down their food, Sukuna couldn't help wondering whether this meal might actually make them eat themselves to death.

He shook his head to dismiss that ridiculous thought, then gave each of them a stuffed pancake.

"Thank you, Uncle. You're such a good person."

No one had ever called Sukuna a good person before, but ever since meeting Tsumiki Fushiguro, he had received that compliment practically every time.

"Slow down, slow down. Don't choke to death... don't choke."

The children didn't quite catch what Sukuna had said and merely nodded.

"Burp~"

They were only children, after all. A bowl of rice and a bowl of soup were enough to fill them up, and Japanese tradition didn't allow for leaving food behind.

So Sukuna ate all the remaining dishes himself, except for the leftover eggs and tomatoes.

"All right, all right. Now that we've eaten, it's time for me to go. Sorry to leave the cleanup to you."

Sukuna smiled and patted Tsumiki Fushiguro's head. With that grin on his face, it was impossible to tell whether he genuinely liked her or wanted to rip her head off and kick it around like a ball.

"Okay, Uncle."

Tsumiki Fushiguro quickly stood and bowed. "Take care on your way home, Uncle."

Looking at the innocent little girl before him, Sukuna really wanted to slice open her head and see what was inside!

Unfortunately, Sukuna wasn't some freak with strange fetishes. Things like that ruined his appetite.

Generally, he would rather kill someone in a single move than torture them, because their screams were truly unpleasant.

They weren't nearly as lovely as the sound of people kowtowing that he had heard a thousand years ago.

Under the Fushiguro siblings' watchful gazes, Sukuna left and disappeared around a corner.

When he reappeared, he was already at Jujutsu High.

"Hahaha, today really was fun. Those little brats are still the easiest to fool."

Standing at Jujutsu High's gates, Sukuna laughed with wild arrogance. At that moment, he seemed once again to be the King of Curses who held everything in the world in contempt.

He glanced outside, then stepped into the barrier surrounding Jujutsu High.

It was precisely because of this barrier that ordinary people had such difficulty entering Jujutsu High.

Even if they got inside, they would remain under Tengen's surveillance. Only certain special people who were effectively invisible could evade his watch.

But such people were exceedingly rare. Throughout all of history, there had only ever been one Toji Fushiguro.

There were plenty of people with a heavenly restriction, but Toji Fushiguro was the only one with zero cursed energy!

After entering Jujutsu High, he headed straight for the dormitory. He was full anyway, so there was no point visiting the cafeteria.

He didn't see Shoko along the way and guessed that she was probably sleeping in the dissection room again.

Shoko really had been pushing herself too hard lately. The dissection room seemed to have become her new dormitory.

He just wondered whether it was nice and cool to sleep in there.

Jujutsu High's dissection room was the real deal. Who knew how many corpses had been dissected on its table?

Of course, Shoko hadn't worked on any corpses yet. She didn't have her Medical License, so she could only practice on rabbits or mice.

"I wonder how those two are doing. Suguru Geto is probably still going around absorbing cursed spirits. Satoru Gojo definitely hasn't done a thing since going home."

Sukuna thought of the two who had gone their separate ways for the holidays.

Almost half a month had passed since their break began, though there was still over a month before it ended.

But neither of them would wait until the end of the break to return.

Especially Satoru Gojo. There was no way he could stay with the Gojo Clan for that long without getting bored.

After all, those who stayed at the Gojo Clan estate were mostly elderly, while the other members were scattered around the world carrying out missions.

As for the younger generation in particular, Sukuna had absolutely no idea who any of them were.

After all, they had no part in the story whatsoever.
