The changes to the Lion Cards, especially the public disclosure of the names and identities of the World-Destroying Church's mysterious higher-ups, added another measure of unease to the Safe Zone.
Qin Siyang had no idea how the World-Destroying Church would respond.
Would they still release the hidden portions of the [Apocalypse Fragment]?
Sure enough, the day after the Lion Cards were revealed, Qin Siyang received another call from Lu Daoxing.
"Hello, Xiao Qin. You've reached Sigma District, right?"
Qin Siyang nodded. "That's right. I'm resting at the Yu Family Mine."
"The Yu Family Mine?"
"Oh, Yu Yongyou mortgaged the Yu Family Mine in Sigma District to me to win my support. I came to inspect its profits and revenue."
A note of gratification entered Lu Daoxing's voice. "Ha! You're really getting more and more impressive, kid!"
"I'm doing all right." Qin Siyang chuckled, then added with some concern, "Professor Lu, I heard you can't just make calls freely in Sigma District."
"Oh, I know what you mean. Don't worry. I built my own Signal Relay Point. No one else can listen in on my calls."
"...That's impressive. Are you in Sigma District too, Professor Lu?"
Lu Daoxing's voice on the other end still sounded weary and strained. "Yes. Unfortunately, given my current identity, I can't meet you in person. I called today to tell you that the World-Destroying Church's scheduled release of the [Apocalypse Fragment] won't be canceled over those minor changes to the Lion Cards."
"Got it. That's what I expected." Qin Siyang wasn't surprised and continued, "So the time is set. What about the location?"
"I haven't been notified yet. Unless something unexpected happens, it should be somewhere outside the Safe Zone, most likely on the plains far from the Origin God Mountain Range. That would keep anyone
