"Huo Dangkou?!" Chu Xiaoang exclaimed on the other end of the line. "Why do you have Ba Xing's phone? What have you done to him?!"
"He's fine." Huo Dangkou glanced beside him.
Chu Baxing was encased in translucent crystal, unable to move, but his eyes were filled with shock.
"Huo Dangkou, you've been pretending to be an idiot all this time?!"
"There's no way an act could have fooled you and Uncle Zheng. I had a few tricks of my own. No need to trouble yourself over them, Uncle Chu."
Chu Xiaoang fell silent for a moment. "After playing the idiot for all these years, your Sequence Ability shouldn't have advanced at all. I never imagined you could subdue Ba Xing after he'd already set foot on the path of the believer. Dangkou, don't tell me you have a Sequence Skill that lets you train clones and then merge with them?"
"Uncle Chu, stop probing."
Chu Xiaoang sighed, then could not help spitting out a curse. "That's fucking ridiculous. You still managed to grow this strong! Huo Shuangxiong must have left you something before he died, right? Damn it, I competed with Huo Lao'er my whole life and never lost. Who knew I'd lose when it came to our sons!"
Huo Dangkou tilted his head, pinning the phone against his shoulder with the fat of his cheek while he bandaged his severed leg with both hands.
"Uncle Chu, don't blame Chu Baxing too much. He really is strong. Taking him down took quite a bit of effort. I nearly died at his hands."
Although blood had pooled across the floor, Huo Dangkou gritted his teeth without making a sound. Only the cold sweat streaming down his forehead betrayed the agonizing pain he was enduring.
"Praising someone you defeated? Hmph, aren't
