The ground shook violently as an enormous figure burst out of the earth.
Qin Siyang, who had been blinking away without pause, looked back. The Sandworm's enormous maw had already emerged from the Wasteland, its sharp teeth layered upon one another like a black tornado thrusting blades toward the sky.
The moment the Sandworm appeared, a dust storm rose around it. That dust was swiftly sucked into its maw. Everything drawn into its mouth was sliced and shredded by countless fangs, reduced to powder.
Countless Sandworm Servants clung densely to its body, and most of them were old acquaintances of Qin Siyang's.
Back when Qin Siyang had been a weak, helpless high school student, he had mostly relied on these Sandworm Servants to make his fortune and earn his first pot of gold.
But seeing them again today, he only wished there were fewer of them, so he could complete the [Succession Trial] while fleeing for his life.
Reality, however, rarely lived up to one's wishes.
The Sandworm's overwhelming might was no weaker than when Qin Siyang had last seen it.

Qin Siyang knew he couldn't outrun the Sandworm. He hurried into the Drill Pod and immediately prepared to flee far away.
But just as he was about to escape, he suddenly noticed that the enormous Sandworm had frozen in midair. It was no longer pursuing him.
Qin Siyang frowned, unsure what had happened, but he still chose to keep piloting the Drill Pod into the distance, firmly refusing to put himself in danger.
After pausing, however, the Sandworm did not resume its pursuit of him. Instead, it charged off in another direction.
