"Yes. When Qi Tian wiped out the troops Qin Yingguang had expanded without authorization, Qin Yingguang was at the Han Character Legion. He talked to Han Huizhi all night before leaving. They probably struck some sort of deal."
Qin Siyang's expression turned cold. "Didn't Old Ghost Han kill Jin Mian and Zhi Chenggong alongside Uncle Zhao and the others in District 2? Why has he sided with Qin Yingguang again?"
"At heart, he's just like Qin Yingguang. He only weighs costs and benefits, not allegiances. Switching back and forth between Zone 1 and us gives him the greatest returns, so naturally, that's what he'll do."
"Isn't he afraid Ander will come after him afterward?"
"No matter how stupid Ander is, he wouldn't pick a fight with an old dog he can still use."
Qin Siyang fell silent.
Han Huizhi's sudden betrayal caught Qin Siyang completely off guard. It had never occurred to him that someone who had fought alongside them against Zone 1 might defect to the enemy.
