Qin Siyang blinked hard, trying to clear his groggy head.
When the car came to a stop, Qin Siyang was stunned.
The protective glass above the streets was much higher than at the edge of the Safe Zone. Soft lights covered it, illuminating the entire area as brightly as day.
He could also see several towering pillars supporting the glass high overhead. Stairs ran up the pillars, presumably to give maintenance workers access.
A warm breeze from somewhere washed over him, relaxing his entire body.
And there were even plants and roadside trees lining the streets!
Sanitation workers were washing and sweeping the streets, quietly clearing away fallen leaves.
Vehicles passed along the streets from time to time, their engines roaring in Qin Siyang's ears.
He looked toward the roadside again. Small restaurants stood in neat rows, as though they had all been laid out according to a unified plan.
Their signs advertised their specialties: "Teppanyaki," "Hot Pot," "Country-Style Stir-Fries," and so on.
It felt as though he had returned to an ordinary street in his previous life.
