Qian Wendao never dragged things out when he held a meeting.

He also made arrangements for the upcoming announcements of Ander's, Royt's, Qin Yingguang's, and Han Huizhi's deaths.

After discussing plans to quickly restore peace and stability to the Safe Zone, immediately pull back their sphere of influence, and prepare to fight outside invaders, he promptly adjourned the meeting.

The great battle had only just ended, and everyone had urgent matters to attend to, so they hurried away.

Only Old Johnny and Qian Wendao remained.

Qian Wendao looked at Old Johnny, and Old Johnny looked back at him.

Neither said a word.

Only after all the footsteps in the corridor had faded did Qian Wendao speak. "So you didn't die after all."

Old Johnny smiled. "How did you recognize me?"

"The Safe Zone has only existed for twelve years. That's far too short-not even long enough for a generation to forget. Here, everyone's growth can be traced. There can't possibly be any hidden masters."

"Anyone whose origins are unknown can be explained by borrowed corpse resurrection."

Qian Wendao's gaze was cold. "Besides, the moment you spoke, you sounded unmistakably familiar."

Old Johnny shrugged. "But Chu Zhongxiong and the others didn't recognize me."

"They simply didn't know you well enough." Qian Wendao poured himself a cup of tea. "The people who knew you best were me, Chao Ding, Gu Weiyang, and Ander. The others are all dead."

Old Johnny said, "I'm still your guest. Aren't you going to pour me some water?"

"You have hands and feet. Pour it yourself."

With a helpless smile, Old Johnny stood and got himself a cup of water.

Qian Wendao took a sip of tea. "Judging by your appearance, Guan Fuhai helped you too?"

"Yes."

"He really was eager to help," Qian Wendao remarked cryptically.
