"My name is Li Qinghui," she introduced herself. "Since you saved my life, call me by my name. From now on, you needn't keep calling me 'my lady.'"
"Li Qinghui? Qinghui... it sounds like the image of you swimming freely through the water." Qin Siyang paused, then nodded slightly, unable to hold back his admiration. "Does everyone in the Red Carp Clan choose such poetic Chinese names?"
"Yes." Li Qinghui's voice softened a little. "In the ancient cultural symbolism of your Huaguo, our clan represents good fortune and the carp leaping through the Dragon Gate. Since you regard us so kindly, we are naturally happy to embrace your culture as well. So our clan does put considerable thought into the Chinese translations of our names. Of course, many other races of living beings have carefully chosen Chinese names, just as we do."
