"Resupply quickly. We still have others to reinforce!"
"Yes, sir!"
He calmly surveyed the soldiers rapidly replenishing their supplies, then turned to the deputy commander beside him, Yan Bunan.
"Division Commander Yan, what do you think?"
Yan Bunan frowned slightly. "We won, but it took too long. The other War Readiness Zones can't hold out. Let's split our forces."
"That's what I was thinking. I'll report it right away."
Wei Rulai activated Conversation Shielding, enclosing only himself and Yan Bunan, then connected to the Conference Room where Gu Weirong and the others were gathered.
Gu Weirong's excited voice came from the other end. "Commander Wei, Division Commander Yan, congratulations! You led over a hundred thousand troops to victory in this battle of annihilation! You're heroes of the Safe Zone!"
"It was an expected outcome. Secretary-General Gu, time is short, so I'll be brief. Division Commander Yan and I would both like to request permission to split the Mobile Defense Fortress troops in two, each of us leading one force to continue the rescue operations."
"Split them in two? Wouldn't that be risky? What if the enemy sends reinforcements?"
"No," Wei Rulai answered firmly. "Even split evenly, each force will still have eighty thousand troops. That's still an overwhelming number. If the enemy really does receive reinforcements, and seventy or eighty thousand men can't withstand their attacks, then over a hundred thousand probably couldn't either."
