Qin Siyang coughed twice and opened his eyes.

He looked at his body, now brimming with life again, in disbelief.

"Wasn't I... dead just now?"

His right hand had been freed from the enormous roots, but the Tier Six Long Spear, reduced to the size of an iron nail, still pierced it. Blood kept seeping from the wound.

Qin Siyang pulled out the Tier Six Long Spear and put it away.

Then he looked up at the canopy again, his brows furrowing.

He had thought that, on the brink of death, his last drop of blood had dyed that leaf red and brought him back to life.

Yet he discovered that the leaf, which had never turned completely red, seemed to have vanished.

It seemed his extraordinary luck was not what had brought him back.

"What's going on?"

Just then, a crack opened down the center of the trunk before Qin Siyang, its surface covered in dark red veins.

The crack slowly spread to either side, like a gateway to another dimension.

Then a gentle force wrapped around his body. It gently drew Qin Siyang into the giant tree, and the opening slowly closed behind him.

This was an entirely different space.

The inside of the trunk was spacious, and nothing about it made Qin Siyang uncomfortable.

A faint fragrance of grass and trees filled the air.

The surrounding inner walls had a translucent, crystalline quality, emitting a faint, warm red glow.

Qin Siyang slowly rose to his feet and looked toward the center of this inner space.

Something floated where the faint red light converged.

It was a small plant being.

It was only about the size of a child, with fine, silk-like roots of a translucent pale red.

Its trunk bore none of those grotesque, bulging veins,
