As they widened their search, Quan Taibin suddenly said, "There seems to be something over there. Let's go take a look!"
Qin Siyang looked in the direction Quan Taibin pointed. Beneath an enormous cliff not far behind them and to one side, he spotted a massive figure that kept pulsing.
Viewed from above the cliff, it resembled a plant.
At the top of the plant was a dome formed from layers of pale caps.
The cap of this assembled giant mushroom measured over two kilometers across, its surface densely covered in countless raised outlines of insects.
The insects' eyes were impossible to make out. All they had were gaping, pitch-black mouths, which continuously spewed bright green phosphorescence as the giant cap rose, fell, and contracted at an exceedingly slow pace.
Beneath the cap, broad gills hung like waterfalls, constantly dripping viscous liquid that formed a bizarre swamp.
Qin Siyang said, "There's a Large God here. It looks pretty active, too."
Old Johnny asked, "Could it be conducting a [Succession Trial]?"
"I'm not sure. But there's no sign of anyone from the outside, so we can't tell."
Old Johnny thought for a moment, then asked, "Can a Large God conduct a [Succession Trial] for two people at the same time?"
After a moment's thought, Qin Siyang shook his head. "I don't think so. Many Large Gods need an enormous area for their trials. It's unlikely they could conduct two at once."
"Besides, once you pass the trial, the Large God's true form appears before you and talks to you. If two people took the trial at the same time and both passed, who would it talk to?"
Quan Taibin said, "Since a Large God won't test two people simultaneously, there should be some kind of exclusion mechanism to prevent another person
