The Godslayer Spear nearly slipped from his grasp.
An aged, deranged voice rang out inside his head:
"I didn't want to use this skill, because I really like this body. He suits me perfectly."

Alan's voice drew closer and closer.

The Registry Room vanished before Qin Siyang's eyes.
The next instant, he stood upon a vast, boundless golden halo.

Qin Siyang glanced down.
Within his sea of consciousness, another glow appeared not far from his own Foundation of Self-Enlightenment.

Alan stood at the center of that halo.
He was no longer a child who looked only a few years old, but an old man with long, hanging white hair.
Upon his Foundation of Self-Enlightenment, he had regained his original appearance.
Tall, thin, and pale, with gloomy eyes.
When Alan saw Qin Siyang, he froze for a moment.
Then he smiled.
"Qin Siyang, you're too young. I reached domain sequence level four decades before you. After lying low in the Fourth Domain for so long, my Foundation of Self-Enlightenment has grown far beyond your level."
As he spoke, he raised a hand and pointed at the two indistinct figures behind him.
"See them? They were once Domain Sequence Ability Users, too. They once thought they could resist me. But in the end, I devoured both their Foundations of Self-Enlightenment."
