Outside the Police Bureau, countless people were protesting.
"Punish Olof, the murderous monster!"
"Kill Olof! Avenge the innocent!"
"Olof, you son of a bitch! Stop hiding in the Police Bureau like a coward!"
Inside the Police Bureau, everyone wore a grim expression.
Some looked resentful; others cursed under their breath.
All of them glanced, deliberately or otherwise, toward the Bureau Chief's office in the center.
The door was shut tight, the curtains drawn.
It was as though the room had been cut off from the world.
As though nothing happening outside had anything to do with it.
Inside the Bureau Chief's office.
An elderly man with silver hair sat on the sofa, one hand clenched, the other holding a cigar.
His face was full of disappointment and exhaustion.
"Beep, beep-"
Olof slowly exhaled a smoke ring, then unclenched his hand.
In it was a small black phone.
He glanced at the caller ID.

Olof hung up without answering.
He picked up the coffee on the table to take a drink, but only realized it had gone cold when the cup reached his lips.
After a moment's hesitation, he drained it anyway.
"Beep, beep-"
He glanced at the black phone again.

"007, why are you losing your temper again?"
The mildly accusatory tone on the other end immediately turned Olof's gaze cold.
"002, ever since I returned to the Safe Zone, I've had the feeling that you've changed."
"Changed how? That came out of nowhere. What a strange thing to say."
"You've become a little too willing to do anything to get what you want."
"007, what are you trying to say?"
"You asked me to come to Sigma District, serve as the Police Bureau's Bureau Chief, and deal with the unrest stirred up by
