After his brief conversation with Ban Dingyuan, Qin Siyang understood why all the second-year students, male and female alike, spoke so highly of him.
Someone as strong, sharp, and outgoing as Ban Dingyuan, without a trace of arrogance, was impossible not to like.

Southern Glory's campus might seem peaceful now, but that was only because the third years were busy conducting experiments and hunting gods, while the fourth years were busy with internships. Both classes were run off their feet and had no time to stir up another bloodbath on their little patch of campus.
Duan Chongfang, for example, had severely injured the third-ranked student in his year last year, then crippled the second-ranked student. Since then, no one in his class had dared provoke him. That left Qin Siyang rather speechless.
Perhaps living two lives and having experience out in society had left him without much of that hotheaded student pride.
Qin Siyang always felt that throwing your weight around at school smacked of only being tough on your own turf.
But without standing in someone else's shoes, he had no right to judge.
Who knew whether the second- and third-ranked students had conspired to harm Duan Chongfang first?
