When Qin Siyang arrived at the Library's study room, Li Pengfei was discussing something with Wen Shu.
"Brother Qin, you're here."
"Yep. It's been ages since I last saw my Brother Fei. I've missed you."
Li Pengfei looked at Qin Siyang with his big, dewy eyes.
For some reason, Qin Siyang thought he could see a hint of a mischievous grin on Brother Fei's innocent face.
"Huh, didn't you say Dean Chen was here too? Where is she?"
"Oh, Auntie Chen went to the medical section to look for books."
Thinking of the whole box of miraculous medicines Chen Fenghe had given him, Qin Siyang blurted out, "Dean Chen still needs to read books?"
"Yes! At home, Auntie Chen is always either reading or looking things up. She's very busy!"
"All right. Looks like hard work pays off for Dean Chen too."
Qin Siyang didn't bother pretending to read anymore. He simply pulled up a chair, sat beside them, and took out his phone to browse the Forum, occasionally glancing toward Wen Shu as she continued the discussion.
Li Pengfei excitedly pointed to a page in the book and looked at Wen Shu. "Sister Wen, look! The history books all say the troops couldn't keep fighting in this battle because of problems with their provisions, but I think it wasn't just the food. Morale mattered too! It says here that they hadn't had a decent meal for days..."
"Yes, that makes sense..."
Qin Siyang watched Wen Shu, his gaze lingering on her without his realizing it as his mind drifted a little.
