The picturesque residence was as peaceful as a secluded paradise beyond the mortal world.
"Elder Su Huai, we're from the Enforcement Hall. An urgent incident has come up. Please come with us and cooperate!"
A Law-Enforcement Elder stood there with a face as dark as gathering storm clouds, his voice weighted with pressure.
Yet a long time passed without so much as an echo, as though his words had sunk like a stone into the sea.
The Elder's expression instantly darkened further, almost enough to drip water. He knocked and called out several more times, but still received no response!
Over at Elder Xu Fei's residence, another Law-Enforcement Elder knocked repeatedly, only to meet the same silence, like a clay ox vanishing into the sea!
Some rather strange noises were coming from Elder Zhao Fei's residence.
Zhao Fei and Xu Fei were playing a four-player game of Fighting the Landlord with two stunning married women!
Suddenly, a flurry of urgent knocks came from outside.
"Elder Zhao Fei, I'm an Elder from the Enforcement Hall. Something urgent has come up, and we need you to come to the Enforcement Hall and cooperate!"
An Elder spoke gravely, accompanied by seven or eight enforcement disciples.
Elder Zhao Fei and Elder Xu Fei jolted in alarm, their bodies shuddering violently. Su Huai, who was being attacked by both men in their game of Fighting the Landlord, turned deathly pale as well.
Elder Bai Ling, Zhao Zhirou's master, was sprawled over the table. Startled, she fell to the floor with a thump!
All four stared at one another in shock. Nobody spoke. They remained motionless as stone statues.
Su Huai and Bai Ling wore resentful expressions:
*Hmph, you old fossil! We told you to set up a soundproofing array, but you wouldn't listen. You
