"Heart Demon Tower? I'll try this one first!"
Ying Ming Hao looked at the Heart Demon Tower at the front and walked straight over, scanning the identity token in his hand on the detector by the entrance.
His information was instantly recorded, and a passage slowly opened. Every Inner Disciple had one free opportunity to enter a Trial Tower each year.
Any further visits required a certain number of sect contribution points. After all, these Trial Towers were very helpful for honing oneself.
After stepping into the Heart Demon Tower, Ying Ming Hao discovered that he was standing in a vast, boundless desert.
This Trial Tower had ten floors in total, and he was presumably on the first.
Brimming with curiosity, Ying Ming Hao looked around. He stamped on the sand beneath his feet and kicked the nearby dunes, discovering that everything felt exactly like the real world.
He could not help growing curious about the heart demon on this first floor, so he began wandering aimlessly, hoping to investigate.
Before long, however, Ying Ming Hao felt that time had become extraordinarily drawn out, as though eight or ten days had already passed.
His throat was unbearably dry, as though his body was suffering from extreme dehydration.
As time passed, Ying Ming Hao began staggering, clearly sensing his strength gradually draining away.
He realized that time flowed here at exactly the same rate as outside. A special formation had merely been laid down to trick the mind into believing that a very, very long time had passed.
Ying Ming Hao had no idea how far he had walked through this desert. It felt as though an entire month had passed.
He surveyed his surroundings, but all he saw was yellow sand swirling through the sky, without the slightest change.
