Chapter Summaries

Wenlong and the Guardians explored a mysterious Hanging Mountain whose mist plunged him into a vivid dream of his homeland and the deaths of his family. He woke after destroying much of the mountain, learned that Little Light had emerged from him, and remained unsure why it had appeared.

• Wenlong subdued a Devil Race man and made him Guardian Number Fourteen, then sent him and the other Guardians to capture immortal beasts on a Hanging Mountain.
• After exploring another enormous Hanging Mountain for more than ten days, Wenlong and the Guardians entered its mist, which interfered with their divine sense.
• Wenlong lost consciousness and dreamed he had returned to Earth, torn between longing for his parents and his life with his wives and daughter.
• Wenlong dreamed of his family members being killed, then went berserk and battered the Hanging Mountain until he collapsed.
• Little Light emerged from Wenlong and drew something nearby into its radiance before the light settled onto him and vanished.

Wenlong returned to the Huaxia Alliance with the source of time and entered seclusion, while Zhu Xiaojie and the Black-and-White Twin Dragons each set out toward the Alliance. Zhu Xiaojie reached the Azure Dragon Continent and advanced to the Immortal Realm, convinced that no one there could rival him.

• Wenlong discovered the source of time inside Little Light, returned to Huaxia's Hanging Mountain, released the captured Immortal Pets, and began a long period of seclusion.
• Zhu Xiaojie left Gao Family Manor for the Immortal World, crossed the Endless Sea on his Nine-Toothed Rake, and reached the Azure Dragon Continent.
• The Black-and-White Twin Dragons survived tribulation for the third level of the Infinite Realm, then obeyed their ancestor's advice and traveled toward the Huaxia Alliance to gain experience.

Zhu Xiaojie fled Long Yin through the Chaotic World and reached the Immortal World, where he soon got into another fight over an unpaid restaurant bill. Meanwhile, Wenlong returned to his family to prepare for his fifth heavenly tribulation, and the Black-and-White Twin Dragons recognized a possible resemblance between Zhu Xiaojie and the descendant their ancestor had described.

• Long Yin confronted Zhu Xiaojie in Central Province City, and their months-long fight ended with Zhu Xiaojie fleeing into the Chaotic World while Long Yin stayed behind.
• Zhu Xiaojie survived the Chaotic World's meteorites, reached the Immortal World, and began healing before setting off again.
• Wenlong returned to the Huaxia Domain to spend time with his family and settle his mind before undergoing the fifth heavenly tribulation.

Zhu Xiaojie met the Black-and-White Twin Dragons, who brought him to Wenlong as he sought his granduncle and a place in the Huaxia Alliance. After completing his tribulation and secluded training, Wenlong received Zhu Xiaojie and Long Yin, who each came with a request.

• Little Black paid Zhu Xiaojie's restaurant bill and invited him to dine with the Black-and-White Twin Dragons.

• Wenlong captured the fleeing heavenly general’s soul and seven other wounded soldiers, then assigned eight war captives numbers Fifteen through Number Twenty-Two.
• Wenlong ordered the Guardians to clear the battlefield and led the Huaxia Alliance into Immortal City, where Long Zhang began accepting new factions and Lineages into the alliance.
• After sensing the Heaven Realm’s army mobilizing, Wenlong sent weaker alliance members back to the Huaxia Domain and ordered the others to defend Immortal City.

• Li Jing ordered the Heavenly Court’s army to storm the Immortal City, but Old Sun’s staff struck between the armies and drove the soldiers into retreat.
• Wenlong rested after the battle, then promised Nezha treatment once he had recovered.
• Wenlong used the Darkness Origin Source to absorb Nezha’s black energy and trapped him in an array while the treatment proceeded.

Wenlong drove Nezha away, strengthened the Huaxia Alliance, and cultivated until a six-colored heavenly tribulation arrived as he prepared to break through to the sixth level of the Infinite Realm. The Great Thunderclap Monastery learned of his tribulation and sent Nightmare to assassinate him.

• Wenlong attacked Nezha with his divine abilities, forcing Nezha to flee before Wenlong could use his origin source abilities.
• Wenlong ordered Long Zhang to expand the Huaxia Alliance, trained the Guardians in a Combined Attack Array Formation, and withdrew to cultivate on Hanging Mountain.
• After more than two years of seclusion, Wenlong sensed his sixth-level heavenly tribulation approaching and flew to Hanging Mountain's summit, where he set up the Defensive Array Formation.
• Three six-colored bolts struck Wenlong, and Old Black alerted Long Zhang, who hurried to notify Old Sun.

Wenlong survived his final heavenly tribulation after discovering someone had secretly interfered with his mind, and Old Sun rescued him from the attacker. Wenlong and the Huaxia Alliance marched on the Great Thunderclap Monastery, where Old Sun confronted Tathagata and his former companions joined the fight.

• Wenlong resisted the interference, endured the final lightning strike, and recovered from his tribulation while Old Sun captured the intruder.
• Old Sun arrived at Hanging Mountain, and Wenlong ordered the Huaxia Alliance to gather and march toward the Great Thunderclap Monastery.
• Wenlong killed the captured attacker, seized his fleeing soul, and followed Old Sun in the Flying Saucer as spectators trailed their procession.

Old Sun and his allies defeated the Great Thunderclap Monastery’s forces, while Wenlong and Nezha looted the monastery until Supreme Lord Lao intervened and restored it. Supreme Lord Lao sent Wenlong to Heaven Beyond Heaven, where Wenlong learned he would have to help defend the six realms from the Otherworld.

• Old Sun attacked the Great Thunderclap Monastery, and Wenlong, Nezha, and the alliance fought its defenders while Taoists from Fangcun Mountain kept other gods from joining the battle.
• Wenlong and Nezha defeated the two burly monks, entered the monastery, and plundered its treasures after trapping the elder guarding a pavilion.
• Supreme Lord Lao arrived, stopped the fighting, restored the monastery and its treasures, and sent Wenlong and Nezha away from the battlefield.
• Supreme Lord Lao transported Wenlong to Heaven Beyond Heaven and told him he could bring his family there, but its residents had to defend the six realms from invaders from the Otherworld.
• Wenlong accepted that his new home came with the responsibility of protecting the six realms as the story concluded.
