Moonlight Ruyun gained new equipment, became Tsunade’s student, and defeated Minato in their duel before joining him and Kushina on a mission. After the team returned to Konoha, Ruyun arranged to train in taijutsu with Might Duy and learned Tsunade was holding their mission payment.

• Moonlight Ruyun befriended Kushina Uzumaki, crafted her red hair into equipment, and discovered that personal gifts from people could unlock valuable materials.
• Moonlight Ruyun learned the Great Fireball Technique from Gekko Naoto, while Jiraiya gave him Hiruzen Sarutobi’s Pipe, which he refined into equipment that strengthened Fire Release and could track enemies.
• Tsunade asked Moonlight Ruyun to become her student, and he accepted the condition that he master her reading list within a year.
• Might Duy gave Moonlight Ruyun his old green jumpsuit, which Ruyun refined before facing Minato Namikaze in their scheduled duel.
• Moonlight Ruyun defeated Minato Namikaze in their real-combat spar, then refined Minato’s bloodied kunai into equipment that greatly boosted his speed and reactions.
• Tsunade agreed to take Ruyun, Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and Nawaki on low-rank missions before graduation, and the group rescued captive women from a bandit stronghold.
• After returning to Konoha, Moonlight Ruyun asked Might Duy to teach him Konoha Style Taijutsu, and Kushina told him Tsunade was holding their mission payment.

Liu Yun helped Konoha save Uzushio Village, returned to Konoha with Kushina and several Uzumaki children, and refined weapons that strengthened his lightning techniques. After a mission exposed a possible chakra metal lode near Takigakure, Hiruzen sent Sakumo to investigate while Liu Yun considered getting involved.

• Mito Uzumaki led Konoha forces to defend Uzushio Village, where they drove back Kumogakure, Kirigakure, and Iwagakure attackers while Liu Yun killed Raiga Kurosuki and took Kiba.
• Mito and Akina Uzumaki arranged for some Uzumaki children to go to Konoha, and Liu Yun returned with Kushina and the children after helping rebuild the village.
• Liu Yun read the Scroll of Seals, refined Kiba, and tested its lightning abilities alongside Kubikiribōchō’s chakra-restoring and broken-blade traits.
• Liu Yun fought Takigakure rogue ninja who attacked a merchant caravan, then helped Jiraiya discover that the merchant was carrying Chakra Metal Mine ore.
• Hiruzen questioned Liu Yun about his new Lightning Release: Heaven-Splitting Thunder Serpent and gave him training notes that deepened his understanding of nature transformations and Fusion Ninjutsu.
• Yamanaka Makoto’s investigation linked the merchant’s ore and map to a possible chakra metal lode near the Land of Grass border in the Land of Waterfalls.
• Hiruzen ordered Tanaka Ichirō killed for trafficking children and violating Konoha rules, then summoned Sakumo to investigate the possible lode as Liu Yun considered pursuing it and Takigakure’s Hero Water.

Liu Yun graduated early after defeating the Academy’s strongest students, then formed a team with Yakushi Nonō and Shibi Aburame under Maruboshi Kosuke. Their first A-Rank mission began with a disturbing discovery of Jashin Cult experiments, and the team set out to find the cultists responsible.

• Tsunade trained Liu Yun in Medical Ninjutsu, gave him the Shikkotsu Forest Summoning Contract, and invited him to move in with her.
• Hiruzen Sarutobi arranged Liu Yun’s public graduation challenge, where Liu Yun defeated six opponents at once and then beat Uchiha Enichi in a separate fight.
• Hiruzen graduated Liu Yun and approved his team with Yakushi Nonō and Shibi Aburame under Maruboshi Kosuke, assigning them to escort Kumogakure envoys and investigate suspicious activity.
• Liu Yun learned that the orphanage had lost its funding and asked Hiruzen to restore support for its children.
• Kosuke tested the team with a bell challenge, praised their coordination, and offered to teach Nonō and Shibi Aburame additional techniques.
• Liu Yun received the Hayate Clan’s Chakra Metal Sword, and Kosuke led the team out of Konoha for their mission.
• Liu Yun investigated blood near a village, discovered Jashin Cult members conducting experiments on captured villagers, and killed two cultists with lightning and his blade.
• Kosuke, Nonō, and Shibi Aburame arrived at the scene and agreed to take the cultists’ heads and search for others.
