Uchiha Makoto quickly spoke to Kakashi, Naruto, and Yamato beside him:
"Intelligence update! This guy's core is deeply bound to the Dragon Vein. As long as it still has energy, he can repair himself, rebuild himself, and even evolve indefinitely! Conventional attacks won't finish him off easily!"
He paused, glancing at Princess Sara, who sat slumped on the ground in the distance, terrified by the shock waves of the battle. "In the original... ahem, the conventional approach would probably be to have Sara seal the Dragon Vein using her royal Rōran bloodline. But I don't plan to do that."
A sharp gleam flashed in his eyes. "I came here to take the entire Dragon Vein... home with me."
Just as he was considering how to use Naruto's trust to materialize an item capable of sealing the Dragon Vein, Mukade started pulling another ridiculous stunt.
Perhaps he thought victory was assured, or perhaps he simply had a twisted sense of fun. The enormous spider puppet suddenly turned, and several thin but tough purple chakra threads shot from the tip of one foreleg, wrapping precisely around the neck and wrists of Princess Sara as she sat collapsed in the distance.
"Sara! My beloved princess!" Mukade's voice brimmed with false sorrow and cruelty.
"For Rōran's future, for my glorious conquest... please, die... an honorable death by your own hand!"
He actually intended to control Sara with chakra threads and make her snap her own neck!
Uchiha Makoto's mouth twitched. Good grief. This villain had practically engraved both "death by monologuing" and "death by showing off" into his DNA.
At this point, why not just slap her dead and be done with it?
Instead, he had to play these disgusting mind games. How was that anything but handing the protagonist an opening?
Sure enough-
