An indescribable sense of accomplishment welled up inside Uchiha Makoto.

He walked into the now-lit laboratory.
At the center of the seventy-square-meter room stood a large metal lab bench, furnished with basic research equipment such as a microscope, a centrifuge, and a Chakra Sensor.
A row of built-in storage cabinets lined the wall. Through their glass doors, he could see some common experimental supplies inside.
Basic reagents, glassware of various sizes, and stacks of blank scrolls.
What surprised him most was the separate workbench in one corner of the laboratory. Pliers, carving knives, a small furnace, and other tools sat on top, with even an unfinished puppet frame beside it.
This was clearly a workstation for making ninja tools and puppets!
"It even has this?"
Uchiha Makoto walked over and touched the cold puppet parts. "Looks like it factored in my 'skilled at developing ninja tools' persona when it materialized."
He checked the equipment one piece at a time.
The centrifuge was a basic model, but it would do.
The Chakra Sensor had decent precision.
The microscope... huh?
Uchiha Makoto leaned closer to the microscope, which looked the most "high-tech," and adjusted a knob.
What appeared in his field of view was more than magnified cell structures. There was also a faint, flowing halo of color-an image of chakra!
"Holy shit?" He couldn't help swearing. "A Chakra-Imaging Microscope? This thing... I remember mentioning something offhand while bragging to Obito once, like, 'It'd be great to have a scope that could directly show chakra flowing'... Even that counted?"
