New Mutants

The midday sunlight filtered through thick, lead-gray clouds. The air smelled of dry dust and faint decay.

Rumble-

The ground trembled.

An enormous steel beast, pitch-black from end to end, rolled over the shattered highway with unstoppable force.

This was the upgraded Lv.4 RV.

Its terrifying forty-ton weight, combined with four broad [Never-Wearing] tires shimmering with dark gold light, made the vehicle rumble deeply as it moved.

Inside the combat room in the second-floor loft, Liu Xi's voice came through the vehicle's speakers, cool, efficient, and composed.

"A small convoy spotted 1.5 kilometers straight ahead, along with a horde of over two hundred zombies. Among them..."

Liu Xi paused, her tone growing slightly more serious.

"Besides the zombies, there are new mutants. Bloated bodies, green all over. They should be the 'Corroders' other players mentioned in the regional channel. There are also a few extremely fast 'Predators' that are good at slipping through the shadows of the ruins."

A rapid succession of sounds rang out, like watermelons being smashed by a heavy hammer.

The tier-2 zombies at the front were sliced in half the instant they touched the gleaming Barrier-Breaking Shovel, then dragged beneath the vehicle.

A barrage of cracking bones followed as they were crushed into puddles of black-and-red pulp, carpeting Lin Hui's path.

The RV didn't slow down in the slightest, barreling through as though nothing stood in its way!

"There! Behind the ruins to the left!" Liu Xi called out.

A monster with a body as bloated as a ball and eerily green skin poked its head out from behind the ruins. It opened its huge mouth and sprayed streams of thick green acid at the RV.

The acid landed on the RV's titanium-alloy armor, sending up wisps of white smoke.

"Warning! Corrosive attack detected. Outer coating damaged by 0.1%."

"That's it?"

Lin Hui sneered.

This acid might have been able to corrode steel, even ballistic armor steel.

But his RV was made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant titanium alloy. An attack like this barely tickled.

"Liu Xi, take it out. It's disgusting!"

"Copy."

Bang!

A deep, solitary gunshot rang out from the rooftop loft.

Amid the ruins, the head of the Corroder gathering strength exploded, splattering green fluid everywhere.

Bang! Bang!

Two more shots.

Each shot took a Corroder's life with pinpoint accuracy.

After several days of honing her skills in actual combat, Liu Xi had reached the point where her rifle felt like an extension of her body.

Lin Hui's gaze sharpened, and he pressed the red firing button.

"Let's try out the new toy... 30 mm Chain Autocannon, automatic fire-control lock!"

Above the roof, the newly upgraded Chain Autocannon's turret spun sharply with a chilling mechanical clatter.

These were no longer the crisp rattles of gunfire, but deep cannon blasts like pounding war drums!

Every 30 mm high-explosive armor-piercing round fired was like a small grenade.

The first Predator leaping through the air took a shell directly to the waist.

Its upper and lower halves were torn apart, while the enormous kinetic force and explosion vaporized its midsection into a cloud of bloody mist!

This wasn't merely a kill. It was obliteration!

The remaining Predators shrieked in terror at the sight and turned to flee.

But how could Lin Hui let these moving materials escape?

He controlled the autocannon, sweeping it across the battlefield like the Grim Reaper's whip.

Walls collapsed. Abandoned vehicles exploded.

No living creature could survive anywhere the cannon fire struck.

Just five minutes.

The battle was over.

The RV slowly came to a stop in the middle of the ravaged battlefield.

"Boss, we killed 250 zombies, five Corroders, and twelve Predators in total. All dropped items have been collected automatically."
