His sunglasses riddled with fine cracks and his body covered in blood, Doflamingo suddenly burst into wild laughter. Ever since the toys had all turned back into humans, veins had bulged across his face.

He had taken a slap from Kuma just to make it to the Arena. The shadow beneath his feet twisted, then seemed to merge with the ground as he rode a wave of White Strings, heading straight for Sephiroth above the Arena.

"You're not getting away-"

Unable to come up with a threat, Kuma simply kept a poker face as he fired pressure blasts behind him with both hands. Propelled by the recoil, he swiftly gave chase.

Compared with Doflamingo, whose face had been beaten bloody, Kuma seemed largely unharmed apart from a few superficial cuts.

As a mixed-blood member of the exceedingly rare Buccaneer Tribe-a special race of giants-Kuma possessed formidable physical gifts.

Using Sky Walk and a few leaps to put some distance between himself and Kuma, Doflamingo landed atop the dome of the Arena's tower.

"-Sixteen Holy Bullets: God Thread!"

Sixteen enormous waves of White Strings, coated in densely concentrated Armament Haki, rose beneath his feet and stabbed toward Sephiroth in midair at tremendous speed.

But...

The gap between their Observation Haki was simply too great, just as the gap in their Armament Haki was, only in reverse.

If they stood face-to-face in a ring and traded punches using nothing but martial arts and Armament Haki, Sephiroth had no chance of beating Doflamingo.

But when it came to Observation Haki, Sephiroth had already given his wings a gentle beat and left the attack's range before Doflamingo even launched it.

Compared with Sephiroth's evasive movement, the Sixteen Holy Bullets seemed to suffer from an enormous delay. It almost looked staged.
