Where the throne would normally stand, a square pink bed measuring sixteen square meters sat in plain sight. Sheer pink curtains adorned all four corners.

Hancock curled up on the silk couch, her fingertips repeatedly stroking various photographs of the Great Angel. Her snake-shaped earrings trembled erratically, and her unfocused pupils occasionally turned into hearts.
"...Snake Princess. Calm down first. Don't worry, the Great Angel will be here soon."
The sight of a beauty like Hancock tossing and turning made even an old woman like Elder Nyon's heart flutter.
"Ah... aaah-really~?"
Hancock stopped writhing and looked at Elder Nyon with tearful eyes.
Elder Nyon could only sigh deeply. Was this the fate of every Kuja Empress?
Hancock had come down with lovesickness several months earlier, but at first, she knew nothing about it and assumed she simply felt unwell.
As she learned more and more about the Great Angel, however, she began collecting all kinds of photographs of Sephiroth.
She even occasionally pestered the staff working on their jointly constructed base, demanding that they find a way for her to meet the Great Angel.
Every time Sephiroth came to see her, though, he lowered his hormone levels and blocked his vision beforehand, afraid of falling under her spell.
Whenever Hancock saw Sephiroth, she could barely speak coherently, let alone make herself understood.
As a result, Sephiroth became a "blockhead."
There was little he could do about it. He couldn't see, their verbal communication was unclear, and his hormones were suppressed on top of that.
It wasn't that Sephiroth was completely unaware of the Empress's "affection." He had simply always thought her feelings toward him
