Achiu and Olga led the way at the front. Both father and daughter now had mechanical restraints clamped around their arms.
Sephiroth followed behind them.
Behind him, four others "followed."
The chain-wielding Torega, the invisible man Sekou P., the archer Naomi, and the white-robed Cipher Pol Aigis Zero agent.
Unlike the "simple" restraints on Achiu and Olga, all four of them had not only their hands restrained, but their legs as well.
Outside their immobilized legs were pairs of "mechanical feet" that moved them along.
The mechanical feet clanged against the stone slabs of the corridor.
Following the broad vermilion steps, the group reached the inner hall of the ruins, which was also the first trial.
Several Treasure Hunters lay scattered across the central platform holding the pipe organ and the broad stairway, their bodies pierced by arrows.
"Oh my, this appears to be a mechanism. I trust you know how to activate it, Mr. Achiu?"
Sephiroth surveyed the unidentified golden liquid around the platform, then gently placed his hand on Olga's head.
She responded with a "fierce" glare.
"...I do. But I can't activate it like this."
Achiu answered coldly and raised his restrained hands.
"That was indeed an oversight on my part. Still, I trust you will make the right choice."
As Sephiroth finished speaking, the restraints on Achiu's hands fell away in an instant.
They then turned into something resembling a puddle of metallic slime, crawled across the floor, and slipped back into Sephiroth's "body."
The sight made the Treasure Hunters and the Cipher Pol Aigis Zero agent uneasy. With lingering dread, they looked at the "devices" attached to their own bodies.
Achiu flexed his wrists, walked up to the pipe organ, and gently stroked the stone tablet beside it, engraved with AlcheCamie
