Tomorrow is the Dragon Boat Festival, so let me wish everyone a happy holiday in advance.
I really did have things to take care of today, so I haven't managed an update yet.
What follows is actually a lot of things I've wanted to say in replies, but I keep being unable to post them.
So I figured I'd organize them and put them all in a separate post.
Since I previously said Uta would appear in the next volume, two questions came up again.
One was about the population and the planet's surface area.
The other was about the timeline.
I've discussed the first question before, so I'll only touch on it briefly here. My personal view is-
In the original manga, plenty of dialogue, narration, and map scales all indicate that this is a relatively normal-sized planet, with a population that isn't particularly large either.
There are only two pieces of evidence in the original material that suggest a "super-sized planet."
One is Marco mentioning "tens of millions of islands," and even then, he was shooting his mouth off while drinking with Oden.
The other is Uta's 80 trillion fans. The problem is that this number came from a movie. It wasn't dialogue or narration, just artistic stage text during a performance.
So I personally lean toward "normal-sized."
The second question: the timeline.
I originally didn't want to discuss this, lol.
But I previously said Uta found a Den Den Mushi in 1519 and only then made her debut.
And all along, I've been using Luffy setting sail in 1520 as my reference point.
So that still left some people with questions. Let me explain here.
If you aren't hung up on the dates, you can scroll to the end, where I've written out Uta's timeline based
