It was the morning of Loguetown's food festival.
The Flying Church, Red Tears, slowly descended over Loguetown before docking at its private berth in a corner of the Harbor District.
This section belonged to Titans, and its infrastructure shared the same Victorian steampunk style. Gray iron and brass formed a fantastical British-style harbor straight out of vintage science fiction.
A group in Titans Trading Company uniforms had been waiting on the pier for some time.
"His Majesty Sephiroth, King of Babylon, arrives!"
The reception staff in gray uniforms stood at attention on both sides of the pier.
The main cabin door opened, and a large mechanical gangway lowered. Knights in dress uniforms formed an honor guard along its sides.
Then Sephiroth emerged in Babylonian casual attire, followed by Reiju, Tashigi, Baby 5, and Shura.
"Welcome to Loguetown, Your Majesty."
The head of Titans' Loguetown branch was a middle-aged man dressed like a Western gunslinger. His rugged face now wore the smile of a salaried employee.
"Do you have any instructions for us?"
He had prepared everything he could, but he had no intention of planning this big shot's itinerary.
Sephiroth found him vaguely familiar, then remembered.
"Masdason. I'm only here for the food festival this time. Carry on as usual."
Dadi Masdason had once been a second lieutenant at Marine Headquarters. In his younger days, he had dueled Yasopp of the Red Hair Pirates. After that brush with death, he had voluntarily retired.
For the sake of his only daughter, he had become a bounty hunter, targeting only small-time pirates. He only wanted to earn enough to support himself and his daughter, without needlessly risking his life.
By East Blue standards, he was quite capable. Several years after joining Titans' Loguetown branch, he was now its head.
