As the updates continued, readers raised all sorts of questions.
Some of the "long-winded explanations" early on were there because readers kept asking questions like, "What makes it possible to do this or that?" So I kept adding and revising things.
The earlier chapters originally didn't have so much "explanation." I had no choice. I was pushed into it.
Surely I couldn't just let people smear me, spread rumors, and insult me without responding? People shoved fanon in my face and claimed the canon I followed was wrong-was I supposed to say nothing?
As for the "explanatory" passages in the story, it comes back to the same question: what am I supposed to do? If I don't explain, someone always says, "This is wrong, that's wrong," or simply doesn't understand. If I explain, someone else complains that I'm long-winded.
Some readers said they weren't used to Isabella's verbal tic.
Well, her characterization was based on Nero. Besides, plenty of characters in the original had verbal tics. Moria's "Kishishishi." Brook's "Yohohoho." Whitebeard's "Gurararara." Blackbeard's "Zehahaha." Those didn't feel awkward to you?
If you say those were laughs, fine. There was Ulti's "arinsu," Tama's "ansu," and so on. Isabella's "umu" was much more normal by comparison. And her manner of speaking, including "thou" and the royal "we," was no different from Empress Hancock's, was it?
About the protagonist's strength.
People kept complaining later on, saying the protagonist was weak.
So I'm adding some revised explanations here. I don't care about spoilers anymore.
Oda himself said that anyone who ate the Rumble-Rumble Fruit would have at least Vice Admiral-level strength.
He also said in an SBS that Nami with the Rumble-Rumble Fruit would be the strongest.
And he said it during the Wano Country arc. Kaido was even in the original image, so
