The steam pipes extending along either side resembled the ribs of a giant beast. Brass valves spewed sulfur-colored mist, driving four sets of propeller wings into a thunderous roar.
The Victoria-style mechanical warship seemed to have deliberately piled steampunk elements onto that foundation, brimming with the flavor of Blue Star's early-twentieth-century science fiction.
At that moment, the Splendid Ash followed its designated course, keeping close behind the Red Tears.
Meanwhile, in one of the ship's guest cabins, a special guest stared out at the sea of clouds.
His gaze shifted slightly only when it fell upon the other sailing warships outside the window.
