Etrigan swung his greatsword, preparing to attack again.

Li Jie gave the Nth Metal spear a light tap, striking its butt against the ground with a low, lingering thud.

He straightened, his eyes gleaming with a sharpness long absent-the light of a knight about to ride into battle.

Without another glance at the convoy behind him, he walked straight toward the sea of demons at the canyon entrance. The lesser demons of the Greed Plains were still piling up and shoving against one another. Their burning eyes stared fixedly into the canyon, thousands upon thousands of misshapen bodies tearing at and devouring each other as they howled with hunger.

Jason Blood stopped a dozen paces from the exit. He closed his eyes, bent slightly at the waist, and bowed his head.
