Li Jie stared dumbfounded at the swarm of flies blotting out the sky. He still had an ultimate move in reserve, but which one was he supposed to use it on?

Over the comms, Batman's voice remained icy, though even he began speaking a little faster. "All units, prepare for a highly corrosive biological swarm attack. Zatanna, deploy your widest defensive barrier. Prioritize the power systems. Etrigan, can you disperse them over a wide area?"

"Disperse them?" Etrigan gave a short, derisive laugh. Whether he was mocking the suggestion or wary of the approaching enemy was unclear. "Against Hell's Lord of Pestilence, there is only one thing I can do..."

His wings snapped open to their full span. Sulfurous flames brighter than the lava rivers erupted around him, and he unleashed a soul-shaking battle cry at the swarm that had already plunged the world into darkness.

"Kill!"

His roar became a tangible wave of sound and fire that surged upward. A vast swath of flies instantly turned to ash, but the black swarm barely rippled, like a spark swallowed by the deep sea.

In his panic, Li Jie glanced back. Instead of dodging, Etrigan charged headlong into the black cloud. Once again, he could not help exclaiming:
