Li Jie raised one hand to Raven to show he was behaving. "You mean she can make things from her imagination real, but she can't control it?"

"That's right." Raven nodded and took Dorothy's hand, sitting down with her on a nearby chair. "And..."

She glanced at Dorothy, who said nothing, so Raven continued for her.

"And..." Raven's voice was quiet, but every word was clear. "She once... used it to kill someone."

Li Jie looked at Dorothy. Her whole body began trembling, her nails digging into her fingers and scraping red marks into her rough skin.

"I... I didn't want to kill him."

Her voice sounded as though it had been forced out from deep in her throat. "I just... just wanted him to stop. They hit me, shoved me, laughed at my face, poured paint on me... I just wanted them to stop..."

She began crying. Tears rolled down her unusual face and dripped onto the floor.

"Then the next day... he was dead, out in the field... dead."

She covered her face, her shoulders shaking violently. Her sobs were trapped in her throat, like a caged animal.

"Hmm..."

Li Jie looked at the two girls leaning against each other and thought for a moment.

"I have a question," he said. "How did you kill him? Did you imagine a twelve-wheeler overloaded with nine hundred tons sending him off to reincarnate in another world?"

"Huh??? What the hell is that supposed to be?"

Raven's eyelids drooped, and Dorothy looked equally bewildered.

"That doesn't matter." Li Jie waved a hand. "What I mean is, did you imagine a tank or a heavy machine gun to take him out?"

"Neither..." Dorothy shook her head. "I just... made a wish
