"Huh?"
Li Jie stared at the perfectly composed Bob. "You're saying you don't know who's in the Court of Owls?"
"How important do you think I am?" Bob sighed and gave a self-deprecating smile. "I'm just an insignificant peripheral member. Maybe the higher-ups know? But certainly not me."
"Hmm..."
Li Jie sank into thought, and the room fell quiet. Harleen glanced between the two of them, then suddenly said:
"Why don't we just torture him?"

Remembering Harleen's impressive performance in the Interrogation Room, the men present instinctively clamped their thighs together.
"No, no, no. There's no need for that." Li Jie hurriedly patted Harleen's hand. "Whatever his other identity might be, he's still our boss. I trust him not to lie to us."
"Fine." Harleen shrugged. "Your call."
"Phew..."
Bob let out a long breath. "Thank you, Jay. I mean... for still being willing to trust me."
"Well..." Li Jie smiled awkwardly. "Obviously, if you were a core member, you'd have found a way to kill me ages ago. Why would you bother sitting here talking crap with me?"
"Ah..."
Bob's face twitched. "You're still as disrespectful as ever. You're actually making me wish I really were one of the Court of Owls' higher-ups."
As his wheelchair was pushed out of the Chief's office, Li Jie heard Bob's relieved sigh behind him.
"You believe him?" Harleen bent down to ask beside his ear.
"I do." Li Jie nodded. "If he wanted to deceive me, he wouldn't have needed to bring this up at all. But I also believe there's a lot he hasn't told us."
"Then why didn't you get to the bottom of it?"
"Ask him what? How much he knows about the Court of Owls? He said he doesn't know, so he doesn't know. Someone
