Vandal Savage's eyes rolled back, and he toppled forward stiffly, landing face-first on the shattered control console panel with a dull thud.
"Nice work!"
Li Jie gave a thumbs-up. Behind Savage, a figure with twin ponytails held a lead-wrapped baseball bat and flashed a smug grin.
"You charged in too fast. Finding an opening for a sneak attack wasn't easy." Harleen twirled the bat in her hands, positively delighted. "This guy looks pretty fancy. He must be worth a lot, right?"
"Supposedly even more than Master Wayne."
Li Jie casually put two more bullets into him, then crouched beside him and watched Savage's body jerk twice from the impacts. After a while, the bullets fell out, and the wounds slowly healed.
"Tsk... that's one nice ability."
He straightened and looked around. The flames in the hall were gradually dying out. Superman had returned to normal, which meant the outcome was settled. Wonder Woman had bundled Cheetah up with the Lasso of Truth and tossed her beside a pillar. Hal held the unconscious Star Sapphire in his arms; there was no telling what had happened between them earlier.

"Time to leave?" Harleen asked. "What about the rest?"
"We leave that to the Justice League, of course." Li Jie checked his belongings, making sure to leave as few traces as possible. "Unless you want to wait around for someone to come ask why you're here?"
