When they returned to the patrol van, an unconscious gang member wearing a skull mask lay on the ground. Nygma stood nearby, lost in thought.
"What happened?"
"Nothing much. One of Black Mask's men came by on patrol, so I tested the image projection," Nygma said, raising his walking stick. "He fainted from fright."

The two spun around. A monster with a goat's head and enormous bat wings stood in the darkness not far away. Its eyes blazed like hellfire, and a long, forked tail swayed behind it.
