"..." Prometheus returned the same look.

Ding-dong!

The dismissal bell rang. Hiratsuka Shizuka packed up her things and prepared to leave, then suddenly remembered something. "Oh, right. Club recruitment is happening at school today, so don't miss it." With that, she walked straight out of the classroom.

As soon as Hiratsuka Shizuka left the classroom, all kinds of discussions broke out.

"I want to join the soccer club."

"I haven't decided yet. What about you, Kazuma? And Kazuto, I remember you said you were joining the Kendo Club, right?" Luo Yu asked in return, pulling Satou Kazuma into the conversation as well.

"I'm not sure either. Anyway, let's go take a look first," Satou Kazuma suggested.

Light Music Club

In the school corridor, following Satou Kazuma's suggestion, the trio stepped outside the classroom.

Seeing the bulletin board covered in promotional posters for school clubs, the three stopped and examined them carefully.

"That's way too many!" Satou Kazuma exclaimed.

"Our school is a joint academy made up of several schools. With all their clubs combined, there's no way the number would be small," Luo Yu said.

Kirigaya Kazuto added, "I heard these are already the clubs after consolidation. There used to be even more."

Even Luo Yu was somewhat surprised by that. He knew there were many clubs at his school, but he had not expected this number to already be after they had merged some together.

"Enough, you two," Luo Yu said. "That club probably just has that kind of name. If it really had the kind of content you're imagining, the school would have disbanded it ages ago."

"That's true. Forget it, I'll just join the Kendo Club after all."

"I'll join the Kendo Club too. Then I can look out for you, Kazuto."

"Luo Yu, have you decided which club you're joining?"

After Satou Kazuma and Kirigaya Kazuto decided to join the Kendo Club together, they both turned to Luo Yu.

Luo Yu continued scanning the bulletin board when a poster suddenly caught his attention.

He pointed at it.

"I want to go take a look here."

Satou Kazuma and Kirigaya Kazuto looked in the direction of his finger. It was a club called the Light Music Club.

Outside the club building.

"Luo Yu, Kazuto and I can only accompany you this far. You'll have to walk the rest of the road alone," Satou Kazuma said, pretending to be sorrowful.

"Kazuma started it, so of course I played along." Luo Yu shrugged. "Still, I envy you guys. The Kendo Club is on the first floor, while I have to work so hard climbing stairs."

"If you really envy us that much, why not join the Kendo Club with us?" Satou Kazuma said. "Right, Kazuto?"

"Yeah, Luo Yu. You should just join the Kendo Club too," Kirigaya Kazuto agreed.

"I'll pass." Luo Yu turned and waved as he headed for the stairs. "Good luck. I'm going upstairs first."

Outside the Light Music Club, Luo Yu felt a little conflicted. I only came here on impulse. When I saw the Light Music Club, I instinctively assumed it was K-On! But now that I'm already here, I just need to go in and confirm whether it's really them.

"No, no, not at all. Just come in first." As she spoke, the girl grabbed Luo Yu's hand and pulled him into the classroom.

"Everyone, a newcomer's here!" the girl called out to the other two girls in the room.

"Ritsu, that's so rude. How can you drag someone in like that? I'm really sorry, this idiot caused you trouble." A girl with long black hair pulled the short-haired girl away and spoke to Luo Yu.

"It's fine. I came to join the Light Music Club. My name is Luo Yu. Please take care of me."

"Well, that's that. He's the newcomer who wants to join. Tsumu-tsumu, come over too. Let's introduce ourselves first. I'll go first. My name is Ritsu Tainaka, and I'm the president of the Light Music Club." The short brown-haired girl—no, Ritsu Tainaka—said.

"Hello, I'm Mio Akiyama," the long black-haired girl introduced herself.

Then the last girl in the classroom, who had long naturally curly hair, introduced herself. "Hello, I'm Tsumugi Kotobuki."

Now he could be sure. Luo Yu thought. This really was the Light Music Club. But Yui wasn't here. She probably hadn't joined yet.

"Still, Luo Yu, you've really helped us out," Ritsu Tainaka suddenly said.

Luo Yu answered in confusion, "I helped you out?"

"Yeah. Look, including me, Mio, and Tsumu-tsumu, there are only three of us. The minimum number of members required for a school club is four. If you hadn't come, our club might have been disbanded. Wouldn't you say you helped us out?"

"Then it looks like I really did help you out." Luo Yu smiled. "So, President, do you have a reward for me?"

"A reward..." Ritsu Tainaka's eyes shifted as she looked toward Mio Akiyama. Then she teased, "How about I give Mio to you? Mio's a real beauty. You definitely won't lose out. Ouch, ouch! Mio, I was wrong! I won't joke about you anymore!"

"Akiyama-san? That really is a nice gift." Luo Yu joined in jokingly.

"Ritsu, stop talking nonsense! And Luo Yu, don't join that idiot in making a fuss!" Mio Akiyama said, her face bright red. It was unclear whether she was angry or embarrassed.

Watching the red-faced Mio Akiyama chase after Ritsu Tainaka and hit her, Luo Yu decided not to provoke her any further. "Sorry, Akiyama-san. I shouldn't have joked about you."

"Mio, I was wrong too! I won't do it again, please let me go!" Ritsu Tainaka was still pleading for mercy.

A certain young lady merely watched the entire farce unfold from the side with a quiet smile.

"Anyway, that's enough joking around," Ritsu Tainaka said. "In any case, Luo Yu, welcome to the Light Music Club."

Somehow, it feels like life won't be boring from now on.

Light Music Club, Continued

"Luo Yu, please have some tea."

After the commotion, Luo Yu found a seat in the Club Room. As he observed the Light Music Club's surroundings, Tsumugi Kotobuki handed him a cup of black tea.

"Thank you, Kotobuki-san."

As he accepted the delicate teacup, the fragrance of black tea wafted toward him.

Luo Yu raised the cup and took a sip.

"This flavor... this isn't ordinary black tea, is it?"

"You could tell, Luo Yu? It's black tea I brought from home," Tsumugi Kotobuki said in surprise.

I almost forgot. The Light Music Club's tea and snacks are all prepared by Tsumu-shi. They're all high-end goods.

Remembering the setting of Tsumugi Kotobuki as a wealthy young lady in K-On!, Luo Yu decided to continue enjoying this cup of tea before him.

Though that was what he intended, the appraising gazes of the three girls still made him feel awkward.

Luo Yu decided to do something to distract himself, so he continued observing the Club Room.

What met his eyes was a completely empty classroom. Other than a few chairs piled in the corner and a cabinet full of exquisite tea sets, there was nothing else.

So this really is the legendary tea-drinking club? There isn't a single instrument in sight. Other than tea, there are only snacks. Though I suppose that's right. This is exactly what the Light Music Club in my memories should be like.

Luo Yu thought as he drank his tea.

Suddenly, a form appeared in front of him.

"Luo Yu, this is the club application form. Hurry up and sign it," Ritsu Tainaka said, handing him a form.

Luo Yu accepted the application form and saw that all the information had already been filled in. Only a signature was missing. Just how badly do you want me to join the Light Music Club, Ritsu-taichou?

After signing it, he returned the application form to Ritsu Tainaka and asked, "Just in case, let me ask first. President, this is the Light Music Club, right? Where are the instruments?" Even though he knew the Light Music Club did not do much actual club work, surely they would not even have instruments.

"Besides black tea, I brought lots of snacks too." With that, Tsumugi Kotobuki took several portions of snacks out of the tea cabinet.

She then handed the snacks out to Luo Yu and the other two, and refilled everyone's black tea.

Confirmed. This really is the Light Music Club. Luo Yu ate snacks and drank tea as he thought this.

Drinking tea, eating snacks, and chatting with the three girls, time passed leisurely.

During that time, Luo Yu also blended into the Light Music Club. At least, he no longer felt unfamiliar when chatting with the three girls.

"By the way, Luo Yu. Since you joined the Light Music Club, you can play an instrument, right? What are you good at?" Ritsu Tainaka asked during their conversation.

During this time, Luo Yu had become acquainted with the three girls. Especially Ritsu Tainaka, who had already started calling him by name.

"An instrument I'm good at..." Luo Yu looked at his Instrument LV5 and answered, "I know a little bit of everything."

Tsumugi Kotobuki followed, "I'm Tsumugi Kotobuki, the keyboardist. Please take care of me from now on."
