Lin Chen looked puzzled when he heard Old Kai's words. "Corrupted by evil energy? What evil energy?"
Old Kai raised a hand, and one of the Dragon Balls flew over to them.
Pointing at the Dragon Ball, which had already turned to stone, Old Kai said, "Lin Chen, take a closer look. Since you've already grasped the power of rules, you should be able to sense the evil energy inside this Dragon Ball."
Lin Chen did as instructed and, sure enough, discovered a wisp of black aura inside it.
This black aura was like the aura of a god. Without drawing on the power of rules, he truly could not sense it.
Compared to a god's aura, however, this aura was clearly far more sinister. Calling it evil energy was no exaggeration.
What was going on?
Lin Chen checked the other six Dragon Balls and discovered that each of them also contained a trace of evil energy.
Lin Chen froze for a moment. What was happening? Were his Dragon Balls about to produce Shadow Dragons?
"Old Kai, do you know what's going on?"
"I don't know either. I really don't know much about the Namekians' Dragon Balls. Perhaps you should ask a Namekian."
A Namekian?
A figure surfaced in Lin Chen's mind.
With a beckoning gesture, he put the Dragon Balls into his system space. Then, after giving the others a brief explanation, he left Planet Vegeta and headed to Earth.
At Kami's Lookout, the new Kami, Dende, had already been revived.
More than ten years had passed, and Dende had grown tall enough to reach Lin Chen's chest.
When he saw Lin Chen, he greeted him happily.
