Hearing this, Lin Chen realized that Chronoa probably still knew nothing about what had happened in Trunks's world.
So he took out the Time Ring and said, "Lady Chronoa, I actually already killed the Zamasu you just showed us. He attacked a timeline whose Saiyans happened to have ties with me. When one of them came to ask for help, Zamasu followed, so I killed him while I was at it."
"What?" Chronoa was startled, but when she saw the Time Ring in Lin Chen's hand, she knew he wasn't lying.
She wasn't the only one. Gowasu was also stunned when he saw the ring in Lin Chen's hand.
He recognized that ring. It was the Time Ring from Universe 10.
Each universe's Time Rings had a different pattern, so he knew perfectly well that Lin Chen hadn't simply pulled out some random ring to fool them.
While the two of them examined the ring, Zeno said with admiration, "Wow! That's Lin Chen for you! You're amazing, Lin Chen!"
"Oh, I'm nothing special," Lin Chen replied with a smile, earning eye rolls from both of Zeno's Guards.
Just then, Chronoa suddenly cried out as she examined the ring.
"Lord Zeno, I think I know why I couldn't find Zamasu before."
"Why?"
"Look at this..."
Chronoa opened her hand, revealing the Time Ring in her palm.
Now, however, a faint trace of magic flickered over the Time Ring.
"This is dark magic. Someone cast time-related dark magic on Zamasu's ring, blocking my observations."
"Wow!" Zeno exclaimed, though it was hard to tell whether he understood.
The Grand Minister, however, said, "The Dark Demon World? Does that mean someone from the Dark Demon World was backing Zamasu?"
"Very likely. Otherwise, an ordinary Time Ring couldn't travel so freely to any timeline," Chronoa
