The Stillness Abyss, an ancient, isolated island frozen in the river of time for untold tens of thousands of years, entered its final and most violent collapse.
The silver-gray core construct resembled a shattered star, billions of uncontrolled energy currents erupting from within and tearing apart the countless silver "threads" connected to it, inch by inch. Without the core force field holding it together, the region's bizarre "stillness" vanished completely. The terrifying inertia of time resuming its flow struck like a spring compressed for billions of years suddenly snapping back, sending the enormous ruins that had floated motionlessly into frenzied tumbling, collisions, and disintegration! Countless metal structures and crystalline masses larger than mountains became a destructive metal storm in the void, grinding against one another and unleashing deafening roars-which traveled strangely and slowly through the thin air-and blinding sparks of energy.
Amid this apocalyptic collapse, the Dawnbringer was like a dead leaf struggling in raging seas. Its hull shuddered violently, and the circuits and armor plates that had barely been repaired groaned under the strain once more. Elder Mochen clung to the console, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth, yet continued working the controls frantically, trying to find a way through the storm of debris. Priest Lingxi poured the full power of the Eye of Prophecy into the ship's detection systems, trying to warn them of the deadliest impacts before they struck.
"It's no good! Too much debris! The spatial turbulence is too strong! We don't have enough maneuverability!" Elder Mochen roared. Enormous wreckage and energy currents kept appearing, instantly blotting out the evasive routes on the screen.
"Port side! Massive fragment incoming! Distance, 300! Extremely high speed!" Priest Lingxi screamed.
A sharp-edged crystalline structure as large as a small meteor hurtled toward the Dawnbringer's port side, spinning
