Lin Ye's plan was simple-and insane.
He would use the Origin Seed inside Elder Mochen as an energy core and the Purification Prism fragment as a conduit to force the Ark's core to launch its purification sequence!
But there was a problem-the Ark's core had been utterly corroded by Kaguya's corrupting energy. Forcing the purification sequence to launch would be like lighting a fuse inside a powder keg. One mistake, and the entire Ark would explode, obliterating the stars for tens of thousands of light-years around it.
"So..." After hearing Lin Ye's additional explanation, Elder Mochen considered it for a moment. "We need an altar."
"An altar?" Naruto asked, puzzled.
"That's right." Elder Mochen pointed at the Ark beyond the window. "That Ark is itself an enormous altar. Within its core lies a Sanctuary specifically designed to activate the Origin sequence. If we can reach it and insert both the Origin Seed and the Purification Prism into the core console, we may be able to bypass Kaguya's corruption and forcibly activate the Ark's original sequence."
"But..." Sakura said worriedly, "Kaguya has complete control over the Ark now. How are we supposed to get inside?"
Elder Mochen gave a bitter smile. "Under normal circumstances, we couldn't. But now, we have an opportunity."
He looked at Lin Ye. "Kaguya's projection is about to fully manifest. Just before she finishes manifesting, her control over the Ark will falter for an instant-because she needs to focus most of her attention on maintaining her projection. That instant is our only chance."
"How long will that instant last?" Lin Ye asked.
"At most... three seconds."
Three seconds.
They had to break through Kaguya's defenses, rush into the Ark's core, reach the Sanctuary, and complete the activation sequence within three seconds.
It was practically an impossible mission.
