"What did the Young Sect Master invite you over for so formally?" Xu Qing asked curiously.
The invitation contained only a few simple words, but the phrasing was anything but casual. Bai Shaoling had used the words "respectfully request your presence."
Xu Yang pondered briefly before saying, "Probably something to do with the Second Dragon Ascension."
He did not have much of a friendship with Bai Shaoling. They had only exchanged a few words when he broke through to Heavenly Origin, so he probably was not the only person invited.
Considering that the time Elder Firecloud had told him to leave for Cloud Province to register was drawing near, he figured it must concern the Second Dragon Ascension.
Xu Qing's curious expression instantly crumpled. "You... you're leaving?"
Xu Yang sighed. "Probably soon."
She lowered her head, her spirits sinking at once. She had trained desperately in martial arts and finally managed to reach the Violet Sun Gate.
Yet after only two or three years, they would have to part again.
