"I invited you into the ring both to represent the Raging Wind Hall in a spar against a disciple of the Mighty Far Hall and to settle our old grudges," Yang Jun said coldly.
He would never forget the sight of Xu Yang knocking both him and his mother to the ground that day.
"If we're settling a grudge, then neither death nor injury is off limits. We each rely on our own means," Xu Yang said gravely.
"You think I'm afraid of you?" Yang Jun dismissed the warning.
Xu Yang nodded, then turned to Lin Cheng and Ji Yun, cupping his hands. "Yang Jun wishes to settle his grudge with me. Master, Senior Ji, please grant us permission."
Lin Cheng smiled and shook his head. "The Mighty Far Hall never interferes in grudges between disciples. Since there's enmity between you, how you handle it is your decision. What do you think, Brother Ji?"
Inside, his heart was blossoming with joy. Xu Yang was far too cautious; getting him to fight even once was difficult.
He had originally planned to send Xu Yang out to fight someone at minor accomplishment of Qi Gathering and temper his disposition. He had never expected Xu Yang to reach great accomplishment of Qi Gathering. Concerned that Xu Yang had yet to consolidate his cultivation, he had not required him to fight.
With Yang Jun issuing the challenge, Xu Yang was certain to win. How could he possibly refuse?
Ji Yun nodded. "Since there's a grudge, settle it yourselves. This match won't count as a spar."
Xu Yang cupped his hands to both men again, then turned toward Yang Jun. "Make your move. Otherwise, you won't get a chance."
"Arrogant fool!" Yang Jun flew into a rage.
