Taking tomorrow off

This stretch of the plot is fairly complicated, and writing it has been quite a struggle.

Actually, slowing things down a little would be better and make it easier to understand, but I no longer have the capacity to carefully untangle it all.

So if you can't understand it, that's entirely my fault, not the readers'. Every piece of information should be decipherable from the text itself. If readers can't understand it and need the author to explain things outside the story, that is a failure in itself.

Magical battles at higher levels are too abstract and difficult to understand, and schemes at the Immortal level and so on can easily fall apart. It's just as I said before: [the more you describe it, the more mundane it becomes].

If I wrote it more simply-Xu Xuan achieving Altar Attestation, slaying Taojue, and finally making a grand, glorious appearance in the world-I'm afraid you wouldn't enjoy reading that either.

Xu Xuan's ultimate goal is still "Mystic Thunder." He won't stray from that path; right now, he's just letting things settle (doing time).

I haven't cut the plot threads involving the Golden Crow, Eastern Radiance, Wu Earth, and so on. I'll write them all out one by one later. I'll do my best to give everyone a satisfying ending, and give Xu Xuan a good ending too.

At this point in the writing, there are far too many things to consider. With the worldbuilding and characters, tugging a single hair moves the whole body. Still, actually finishing a major stretch of the plot brings a real sense of exhilaration.

I'm taking tomorrow off, just one day's leave. The author is going to let things settle too.
