At the foot of the mountain, the residents who had just been cheering over the grass sprouting from the ground now stood dumbstruck. They were too far away to see exactly what had happened at the summit, but they could feel it-the three terrifying, suffocating presences, as powerful as demon gods, had vanished.
Vanished completely.
In less than a minute, the three great Executioners were just... gone?
That fact weighed on everyone's hearts like a mountain, crushing the breath from them. Those were the Executioners! The three strongest people in Meteor City outside the Elders' Council, extensions of the council's will, the instruments of violence that maintained order in Meteor City!
And that man in white had simply wiped them out?
The thought sent chills crawling over every resident's scalp. The looks they cast toward the summit of Metal Mountain had shifted from shock to something close to the reverence they would show a god.
Meanwhile, deep within Meteor City.
The thirteen masses of Nen Aura that had resembled dormant volcanoes began fluctuating violently. Three of them clearly carried fury and disbelief-evidently, the three dead Executioners had been their respective direct subordinates.
"Bastard! How dare he!"
"Kill him! We have to kill him! Avenge Bark!"
"This outsider must die! Otherwise, what becomes of our Elders' Council's authority?"
Several furious voices rang out within the Elders' Council. Yet the oldest and most powerful voice remained silent.
Only after a long while did he slowly speak.
"Quiet, all of you."
His voice was not loud, but it carried unquestionable authority. The elders who had been roaring fell silent at once.
"Brother, are we really going to let this go?" one elder asked, unwilling to accept it.
"Let it go?" The Grand Elder snorted
