Elwen pushed the door open and gestured for Ging to enter.

The Treehouse was not as dim as Ging had imagined. It actually seemed quite bright. When he looked up, he saw a shaft of sunlight falling into the Treehouse through a window in the roof.

Taking a light sniff, Ging noticed a fresh, botanical fragrance in the air, like some kind of medicinal herb.

At that moment, a female elf sat in the very center of the Treehouse.

She did not look very old-at most, she had the air of a mature beauty. Her hair was silver-white, and there was not a single wrinkle on her face. If those people who spent fortunes on their looks learned about this, they would probably lose it.

The Elf Queen wore a dark robe and held a Wooden Staff, studying Ging intently.

"Your Majesty." Elwen bowed her head in greeting.

The Elf Queen smiled and nodded, then turned her gaze back to Ging.

"I imagine the fall of the God of Light had something to do with you," she said, her voice quiet but clear.

"Yes," Ging said after a brief pause.

Ging thought he might have figured out why Odin had sent him here.

"What?" Ging's casual answer left Elwen beside him utterly stunned. "The fall of the God of Light actually had something to do with you?"

She sucked in a sharp breath.

"The chief god you worship must be incredibly powerful!"

Overwhelmed with astonishment, Elwen poured out her amazement before either Ging or the Elf Queen could speak.

Listening to Elwen, Ging could not help thinking about Odin.

He had no way to argue with that, so he could only nod in agreement that Odin was powerful.

Of course, calling it worship was going a bit too far.
